President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has emphasized the urgent need for long-range missile capabilities to counter the presence of North Korean troops in Russia. In a statement made during his evening address, Zelensky highlighted the necessity of securing permission from Ukraine’s allies to strike Russian positions where North Korean soldiers are being stationed.
"We can identify every location where Russia is gathering North Korean forces on its territory — including all their camps. If we had the capability for longer-range strikes, we could initiate preventive actions," Zelensky stated.
He expressed frustration that Ukraine's allies seem to be waiting for North Korean forces to initiate attacks on Ukraine instead of supplying the crucial long-range weaponry that Ukraine needs for its defense.
