Dubai – The UAE has been ranked the second safest country in the world in the 2025 Safety Index by Numbeo, securing an impressive safety score of 84.5. The ranking reinforces the UAE's global reputation as one of the most secure and stable nations.

The top five safest countries in the world according to the latest Numbeo index are:

  1. Andorra – 84.7

  2. UAE – 84.5

  3. Qatar – 84.2

  4. Taiwan – 82.9

  5. Oman – 81.7

The UAE’s high ranking comes as no surprise, given the country’s low crime rate, strong law enforcement, and advanced security infrastructure.

GCC Countries Dominate Rankings

Gulf nations performed exceptionally well in this year’s report. Qatar secured third place, while Oman ranked fifth, highlighting the region’s emphasis on safety, stability, and effective governance. Additionally, Saudi Arabia (14th) and Bahrain (16th) also made it into the top 20.

Low Crime Rate and Public Safety

In addition to being one of the safest countries, the UAE also ranked second in the world for the lowest crime rate in the 2025 Crime Index by Numbeo. The country’s strict legal framework, high police presence, and advanced surveillance systems contribute to its strong safety record.
