Ajman has introduced a new Evaluation and Reconciliation Committee to streamline property valuation and dispute resolution, as per a decree issued by Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman. The committee, which replaces the previously established committee in 2011, will oversee property valuations and dispute settlements. This step aims to ensure transparency and fairness, following strict standards approved by the Land and Real Estate Regulation Department.
The committee’s primary tasks include issuing property valuation certificates, which will remain valid for three months. It also plays a pivotal role in resolving disputes and facilitating reconciliation between parties involved in property matters. For inheritance disputes related to real estate, the committee will mediate between heirs, provided they hold a valid court-issued inheritance certificate. If the committee cannot achieve an amicable settlement within 90 days, the case will be transferred to the court.
Members of the committee will be appointed for three-year terms by Ajman’s Crown Prince, and the committee will report directly to the Chairman of the Land and Real Estate Regulation Department. The initiative marks a significant step forward in maintaining order in Ajman’s property market while resolving conflicts efficiently.
