Dubai: UAE leaders extended their heartfelt Ramadan wishes to residents and the global Muslim community following the sighting of the crescent moon on Friday, February 28, marking the beginning of the holy month on Saturday, March 1.
Leaders Extend Greetings
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan took to social media platform X to convey his wishes:
"As the holy month of Ramadan begins, I wish all those observing in the UAE and around the world a blessed month. Together, we pray for God to bestow His mercy on us and grant peace, harmony, and unity to all."
Similarly, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also shared his greetings:
"A generous month, generous people, and blessed days... We congratulate the people of the Emirates and the Arab and Islamic nations on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. We ask God to accept prayers, supplications, and all good deeds. And to return it to everyone with security, faith, safety, and Islam."
Messages of Unity and Giving
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Presidential Affairs, emphasized the values of Ramadan in his message:
"On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, I congratulate the people of the Emirates and the Islamic people, and I ask God Almighty to make it a month of goodness, mercy, and blessings for our country and the world. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, also extended his warm wishes:
"Ramadan Mubarak. A month of mercy, blessings, and generosity. A season of giving, compassion, and unity. May Allah bless our nation, leadership, and people, as well as the Arab and Islamic communities, with goodness and prosperity."
