Dubai, UAE — Gamers in the UAE are spending up to Dh30,000 to build their ideal gaming setups, transforming a simple hobby into a significant investment. Many enthusiasts are upgrading their equipment to ensure top-tier performance and visuals, opting for custom-built PCs, multiple monitors, and high-end accessories that quickly add to the cost.

A 26-year-old Emirati gamer, K.A., shared her experience, stating that her setup, valued at approximately Dh25,000, includes all the essential components such as a desk, mouse, keyboard, mouse pad, and dual monitors. She emphasizes that the most expensive element is the PC itself, which she considers worth every dirham. "A beautiful setup really enhances the gaming experience and keeps me motivated," she added.

Arshiya Faraghat, another gamer and content creator, takes a different approach by focusing on practicality over luxury. While she has invested substantially in her setup, she chooses mid-range options for peripherals, explaining, "I don’t believe in the most expensive being the best thing for you. I believe in what's practical for you — what are your needs for it?" Her setup, tailored for streaming, includes RGB lighting, a stream deck, and a high-quality webcam, with her high-resolution TV being the most costly component.

According to Mohammad Al Najjar, a computer engineer and development manager at GCC Gamers, the gaming sector presents significant investment opportunities in the UAE. Over the past decade, his company has shifted its focus from providing computer servers to catering specifically to the needs of gamers, highlighting the growing demand for high-quality gaming setups in the country.

Both K.A. and Arshiya advise gamers to take a gradual approach to upgrading their setups, starting with essentials and improving them over time to balance functionality with personal style.

This blog will examine the trend of UAE gamers investing significant amounts—up to Dh30,000—in creating ultimate gaming setups. It will cover the latest gaming technology and gear that enthusiasts are purchasing, such as high-performance PCs, gaming chairs, monitors, and accessories. The post will also explore the motivations behind these investments, from enhancing the gaming experience to competitive e-sports participation.
