The UAE Ministry of Interior has launched a set of new digital services aimed at simplifying administrative procedures related to vehicle and driver licensing.
As part of the initiative, motorists can now obtain traffic fine clearance certificates and transfer foreign driving licences entirely online. The ministry has also introduced updates that remove bank liens on vehicles, making it easier for motorists to transfer vehicle ownership and complete legal processes. For foreign licence holders, a streamlined system allows for licence replacement through certified translation offices, significantly reducing paperwork. The updates are expected to improve efficiency, reduce wait times, and offer a more convenient user experience, supporting the country’s digital transformation efforts.
