Dubai – The UAE has strongly condemned the burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza by Israeli forces, calling it a "heinous act" and a violation of international humanitarian law.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE expressed its rejection of the incident, which involved forcing patients and medical staff out of the hospital. The Ministry emphasized that targeting civilians and civilian institutions is unacceptable and called for an immediate cessation of violence in the region.
Concern Over Humanitarian Crisis
The UAE expressed deep concern over the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza, warning that the crisis threatens to result in further loss of civilian lives. The Ministry underscored the importance of ensuring civilians are fully protected under international humanitarian law and treaties.
“The targeting of civilians and civilian institutions must stop,” the statement added.
Call for International Action
The UAE urged the international community to intensify efforts to prevent further escalation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. It also called for renewed efforts to achieve a comprehensive and just peace in the region, emphasizing the need for dialogue and resolution.
The Ministry reiterated the UAE’s commitment to supporting peace and stability in the region while addressing the ongoing humanitarian challenges faced by civilians in Gaza.
