As the Israel-Hezbollah conflict intensifies, Lebanon finds itself in a humanitarian crisis. With over 1,000 lives lost and a million people displaced, the UAE has stepped forward to assist the Lebanese people. UAE President Sheikh Mohamed has approved a $100 million relief aid package, including medical supplies, food, and shelter materials. Residents are encouraged to participate in the relief efforts through various platforms.
Key donation channels include Emirates Red Crescent’s “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign, allowing both cash and in-kind donations like food baskets (dates, oil, flour), baby essentials (diapers, baby milk), and shelter items (blankets, towels). Residents can donate via collection centers across the UAE, including locations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. For convenience, cash donations can also be made online through bank transfers to Emirates Red Crescent or through SMS donations.
Careem and Allo Beirut have partnered with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to donate Dh10 for each food order placed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Additionally, UNICEF Gulf has launched an urgent appeal focusing on supporting children by providing medical aid and shelter materials. The Big Heart Foundation continues to raise funds for Lebanon, with residents able to contribute via SMS, website, or bank transfer.
This unified effort shows how UAE residents are coming together to provide vital relief to Lebanon during this difficult time.
