Canadian police have arrested a 25-year-old Indian man named Abhijeet Kingra in connection with a shooting incident outside the home of Punjabi singer AP Dhillon in Vancouver. The incident, which occurred on September 2, has drawn significant attention due to its alleged ties to organized crime.

A CCTV video has surfaced, reportedly capturing several gunshots fired at Dhillon's residence, along with footage of two vehicles being set ablaze during the incident. Fortunately, the singer was not harmed during the attack.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the shooting, alleging that the attack was in retaliation for Dhillon's collaboration with Bollywood actor Salman Khan in a music video. This notorious gang has gained notoriety for its involvement in various violent crimes, including high-profile murders, and has also issued threats against Khan.

Authorities in Canada have charged Kingra with discharging a firearm with intent and arson. He is scheduled to appear in Ontario court today to face these charges. In addition to Kingra, police have issued an arrest warrant for another suspect, Vikram Sharma, who is described as a South Asian male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes. Officials believe Sharma is currently in India and do not have a photograph of him.

AP Dhillon, known for his popular tracks like "Brown Munde," "Excuses," "Summer High," "With You," "Dil Nu," and "Insane," has a substantial following in the Punjabi music scene. The recent events surrounding him have raised concerns about the influence of organized crime within the entertainment industry.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has previously claimed responsibility for another shooting incident targeting a jeweler in Canada, further demonstrating their violent reach. Additionally, gangster Rohit Godara, who associates himself with the Bishnoi gang, has issued death threats against Dhillon in a recent social media post, heightening concerns about the singer's safety.

As the investigation continues, the Canadian police are working to ensure the safety of those involved and are urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward. The community remains on edge as the implications of organized crime in such incidents become increasingly apparent.
