Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, has approved a new master plan for Expo City Dubai, which will house over 76,000 residents and 40,000 professionals. The urban development spans 3.5 sq km and is part of Dubai’s long-term vision of becoming a global hub for innovation and sustainability.
The master plan will feature five districts with a smart transportation system, green spaces, and residential facilities designed to offer an ideal living environment. Additionally, Expo City will house the global headquarters of DP World and a Dh10-billion international exhibition center, further establishing it as a magnet for businesses and entrepreneurs.
Expo City will also play a key role in achieving the ambitious goals of Dubai’s Economic Agenda (D33) and the 2040 Urban Master Plan. Its strategic location near Al Maktoum International Airport and Jebel Ali Port will offer unparalleled business opportunities, positioning it as a model city for future urban development in the UAE.
