The Sharjah Executive Council has announced revisions to the fees for releasing vehicles impounded for serious traffic violations. This decision applies to all vehicle types and is aimed at streamlining the process for owners or drivers once the legal impoundment period has ended. The revised fees, yet to be disclosed, specifically address cases involving reckless driving and negligence, which pose significant risks to public safety and property.

Focus on Sustainability and Economic Growth

In its latest session, chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the Council also reviewed several key initiatives:

  • Environmental Preservation: Plans to reduce the use of single-use plastics and encourage sustainable practices were discussed, highlighting the emirate's commitment to health and environmental excellence.
  • Economic Development: Legal frameworks were evaluated to strengthen Sharjah’s financial sector and drive growth across key industries.

The Council emphasized the community's vital role in fostering innovative environmental practices, reinforcing Sharjah’s leadership in sustainability and public welfare.
