Dubai : Tickets for the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 are being resold at exorbitant prices, with some listings reaching nearly seven times the original price. Originally priced at Dh500, general admission tickets are now being sold for as much as Dh3,500 on platforms like Facebook Marketplace and other classified sites.

Fans Struggle to Secure Tickets

Many cricket enthusiasts spent hours in the online queue on Monday, hoping to buy tickets, only to find out that they had sold out within an hour.

Abdul Kareem, a cricket fan from Sharjah, shared his frustration:

“I kept refreshing the page for hours, but by the time my turn came, tickets were gone. Now, resellers are asking for Dh3,500 or more. It’s extremely frustrating.”

Another disappointed fan, Harish Das, said:

“I had set aside Dh500 to buy a ticket, but I can’t afford more than Dh1,000. It feels like these matches are only for people who can pay high prices.”

Massive Demand Drives Prices Higher

With India-Pakistan matches being among the most sought-after in cricket, demand has skyrocketed.

ticket reseller confirmed receiving over 50 calls in a single day from buyers eager to secure tickets.

“People are still willing to pay even at triple the price. As the match date nears, prices might go even higher,” he said.

Some resellers are also offering bulk ticket deals, with four-match packages—including India vs Pakistan, India vs Bangladesh, India vs New Zealand, and the semifinals—selling for Dh6,000.

With the India-Pakistan showdown set to take place at the Dubai International Stadium on February 23, fans who missed out on the official sale are left with limited options—pay the inflated resale price or watch the match on screen.
