The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued red and yellow fog alerts for parts of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, cautioning residents and commuters of reduced visibility conditions that are expected to persist until 9:30 am today. These alerts cover areas including Arjan, North of Abu Hiraybah, Al Wathba, and Al Khatim in Abu Dhabi, as well as Remah, Alkhazna, Al Arad, Al Wiqan, and Um Azimul in Al Ain.
Additionally, dense fog conditions have been reported across various locations in the Al Dhafra region, including Madinat Zayed, Al Mirfa, Western Mahadir, Bu Al Dhiyab, Asab, and Hamim road. Commuters in these regions are advised to exercise caution due to the potential sudden drops in visibility.
Alongside the fog alerts, the Met Office predicts cloudy skies over some coastal and northern areas, with a likelihood of light rainfall tonight. This brief change in weather could bring some respite from the persistent fog but requires residents to stay informed about potential changes.
Temperatures are expected to range between 21 to 25 degrees Celsius in coastal areas and 11 to 15 degrees Celsius in inland areas. Light to moderate winds, with speeds of up to 35 km/hr, are also anticipated across coastal regions, which may further affect visibility conditions.
