Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a new nol Student Package, offering a 50% discount on public transport for school and university students. This initiative is set to benefit students across the UAE, particularly in Dubai, making it more affordable to use public transport like the metro, buses, and trams.
In addition to transportation discounts, the nol Student Card provides access to retail discounts of up to 70% on both local and international brands. This is part of a broader effort to reduce the financial burden on students and their families by offering savings not only on transportation but also on everyday expenses. The card can also be used as a payment method in various retail outlets across the UAE.
One of the key features of the nol Student Package is its integration with the International Student Identity Card (ISIC), which grants students access to global discounts on retail, travel, and entertainment. The card can be easily applied for via the nol Pay app, and it will be delivered directly to the student’s address.
As part of this initiative, parents will soon be able to manage their children’s nol cards, topping up balances and controlling daily spending. This feature aims to give families greater control over their financial planning.
The nol Student Package was introduced at GITEX Global 2024 and marks a significant step in supporting the student community in Dubai by encouraging the use of public transport while providing financial benefits through discounts. The collaboration between RTA and the ISIC Association reinforces Dubai’s commitment to making life more affordable and convenient for students.
