Dubai Police have intensified their efforts to combat illegal massage card distribution, shutting down four printing presses involved in producing unauthorized promotional materials. The crackdown, announced on Saturday, led to multiple arrests as authorities warned that anyone linked to these operations could face legal consequences.
Authorities Warn Public Against Contacting Numbers
The illicit massage cards, often featuring obscene images, promote unlicensed services and have been widely distributed in residential areas, streets, and near public spaces. Dubai Police cautioned residents against calling the numbers on these cards, as they may expose individuals to theft, fraud, or extortion.
To address the issue, the General Department of Criminal Investigation has established a dedicated team operating 24/7 to handle reports related to these activities. Authorities emphasized their commitment to protecting public safety and eradicating such unlawful practices.
Community Support and Reporting Measures
Dubai Police praised residents for their cooperation in reporting these illegal activities and urged continued vigilance. They reiterated the importance of open conversations with children about the dangers of handling such materials, following reports of young students unknowingly collecting these cards.
The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activity through:
- Dubai Police’s toll-free number: 901
- The ‘Police Eye’ feature on the Dubai Police app
Authorities reaffirmed their zero-tolerance policy towards illegal massage advertisements, stressing that preventing such activities is essential to maintaining community security.
