Salik PJSC has announced the addition of two new toll gates, bringing Dubai's total from eight to ten. Located at Business Bay Crossing on Al Khail Road and Al Safa South on Sheikh Zayed Road, the new gates will be operational starting Sunday, November 24.
These additions aim to alleviate congestion across key roadways. The Business Bay Crossing gate is expected to reduce traffic on Al Khail Road by 12-15% and Al Rabat Street by up to 16%. The Al Safa South gate will help reduce traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road by 15% and improve flow between Financial Center Street and Meydan Street by redistributing traffic to the wider First Al Khail Street and Al Asayel Street.
CEO Ibrahim Al Haddad shared that both new gates will operate almost entirely on solar power, marking a first for Salik and supporting Dubai’s sustainable growth agenda. Additionally, drivers passing through both the northern and southern Safa gates within an hour will incur a single toll fee.
Despite recent rumors, Salik confirmed that no dynamic pricing will be applied to these tolls. Toll fees remain fixed at Dh4 per pass, pending any future adjustments by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Executive Council.
