Dubai, UAE – The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a new exit on Dubai-Al Ain Road to reduce congestion and improve travel time for commuters heading towards Al Ain and Dubai.
The newly inaugurated Exit 58 is part of a broader initiative to enhance traffic efficiency near the Al-Faqa area, addressing the rising vehicle flow along this key transport corridor.
New Traffic Solutions Implemented
As part of the project, RTA has introduced several road enhancements, including:
A 430-meter deceleration lane to facilitate smoother access to Exit 58.
A newly constructed roundabout to improve U-turn movements and access from the existing tunnel.
A 600-meter acceleration lane for vehicles merging back onto the main road towards Al Ain.
"These enhancements will significantly improve road safety and reduce travel time, ensuring a seamless experience for all road users," said Hamad Al Shehhi, Director of Roads at RTA.
Commitment to Smart Transport Solutions
The RTA emphasized that the initiative is part of Dubai’s long-term vision for sustainable and efficient transport infrastructure. By implementing rapid, innovative solutions, the city continues to position itself as a global leader in mobility and road safety.
