In an innovative move aimed at enhancing efficiency and cutting costs for drivers, Dubai Police have introduced a new 'On-the-Go' service initiative at local petrol stations. This service, announced on Wednesday, allows motorists to handle everything from reporting minor traffic incidents to finding lost items without leaving the gas station.
Partnering with leading fuel suppliers like Enoc, Adnoc, and Emarat, Dubai Police are now providing six essential services directly at the pump:
- Reporting minor traffic accidents.
- Reporting accidents involving unknown parties.
- Handling lost and found items.
- Vehicle repair services.
- Police Eye service for real-time crime reporting.
- E-Crime service to handle cyber-related offenses.
This initiative significantly reduces the time it takes to deliver services—from a previous 24 hours to now just two minutes. According to Capt Majid bin Saeed Al Kaabi, head of the On-the-Go team, this efficiency has cut customer costs dramatically from Dh1,927 to Dh420.
"The team’s collaborative spirit has enabled us to achieve significant and tangible transformations, delivering strategic results locally, regionally, and globally," stated Capt Al Kaabi. "By streamlining processes and simplifying customer journeys, we aim to elevate performance to unprecedented levels, maintaining Dubai’s leadership in the security sector."
The 'On-the-Go' services not only promise to save motorists up to Dh1,500 in service costs but also aim to maintain the high standards of safety and convenience that Dubai is known for. This approach reflects Dubai Police's commitment to innovation and customer service excellence in the security sector.
