Dubai is set to revolutionize urban living with plans to introduce kitchen-free apartments, driven by the rapid growth of the online food delivery industry. Mohamed Ali Alabbar, founder of Noon and Emaar Properties, confirmed that designs for such buildings are already underway.
Alabbar highlighted the changing dining habits, with families increasingly opting for food delivery instead of cooking at home. “The demand for food delivery is so high that we’re designing apartments without kitchens,” he said.
Noon, launched in 2017, has become a leading e-commerce platform in the UAE. Alabbar predicts that Noon Food will dominate the market within six months, outperforming competitors.
He credited Dubai’s supportive government policies for fostering business success and emphasized the responsibility of large companies to contribute to the nation’s progress.
Dubai’s innovative approach continues to set global benchmarks, with kitchen-free homes showcasing the city’s adaptability to changing lifestyles.
