Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has expanded its free WiFi service to six additional bus stations, enhancing connectivity for public transport users. This move comes as part of RTA’s ongoing efforts to provide a seamless and convenient public transport experience.
The newly added stations include Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, International City, City Centre Deira, Al Qusais, and Al Jafiliya. These stations join the initial four—Satwa, Union, Al Ghubaiba, and Gold Souq—where free WiFi services were launched on December 1.
An RTA spokesperson stated, “This initiative is part of our commitment to improving the public transport experience and ensuring passengers stay connected while traveling.” The authority also confirmed plans to extend free WiFi coverage to all bus stations across Dubai in the near future.
With this expansion, Dubai continues to reinforce its reputation as a smart city, offering innovative solutions to enhance the daily lives of its residents and visitors. Passengers at the covered stations can now enjoy free internet access, making their commutes more productive and enjoyable.
