Dubai is setting a new standard in healthcare convenience with the introduction of at-home dental services, allowing residents to receive professional dental care in the comfort of their own homes. This innovative service, announced by Pavan Sharma, CEO and MD at First Response Healthcare, ensures that licensed dentists are just a call away, equipped with the latest portable technology to provide a wide range of dental treatments.

Patients can now track the arrival of their dentist in real-time, akin to monitoring a food delivery. This service is designed to meet the growing demand for convenient and efficient healthcare solutions, particularly in a city known for its fast-paced lifestyle.

Service Details:

  • Availability: The service operates daily from 8 AM to midnight, with dentists arriving within 30 to 45 minutes of a call.
  • Technology: Utilizing advanced Swiss portable dental technology, the service includes oral exams, teeth cleaning and whitening, emergency treatments, and more.
  • Setup: A team consisting of a doctor, a nurse, and a driver arrives with all necessary equipment, which can be set up in just 15 minutes inside the patient’s home.
  • Procedures: While most dental procedures can be safely performed at home, complex surgeries requiring more robust infrastructure continue to be handled in clinical settings.

Sharma highlighted the dual benefits of this service—reducing waiting times for patients and potentially decreasing traffic congestion as fewer people need to travel for dental appointments. The introduction of home-based dental care is part of a broader shift towards more personalized and accessible healthcare services in Dubai.

Cost and Insurance:

  • Fees: Home dental services charge approximately Dh400, reflecting the added convenience and cost of travel. This fee is higher than typical clinic charges, which range from Dh100–300.
  • Insurance: Although the service is insurance-approved, it is not cashless. Patients pay upfront and seek reimbursement based on their insurance policy’s coverage for home services.

This service follows the success of a mobile dental clinic by Emirates Health Services (EHS), which was the first in the Middle East to offer at-home dental treatment. As healthcare continues to evolve, Dubai remains at the forefront, embracing innovations that enhance patient care and convenience.
