India’s skipper and ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah left the field during the second day of the fifth Test against Australia in Sydney due to discomfort, potentially from a side strain. After bowling just one over in his post-lunch spell, Bumrah consulted with Virat Kohli before leaving the field.

The 31-year-old, who has taken 32 wickets in the series, had impressive figures of 2/33 in 10 overs before the injury. He dismissed Marnus Labuschagne in the morning session, continuing his strong performance.

Bumrah later left the stadium for scans, accompanied by the team doctor and security liaison officer. In his absence, Virat Kohli has assumed leadership on the field. The team and fans are anxiously awaiting updates on Bumrah’s condition as his contributions have been key in the ongoing series.
