Apple products, especially the iPhone, are extremely popular in the UAE, with residents frequently upgrading their devices and sometimes buying multiple units at once. However, like all tech gadgets, iPhones can occasionally face issues. Luckily, Apple offers a one-year warranty on all new devices, which can help address many problems.

How to Verify Your Apple Warranty Status in the UAE

To verify the warranty status of your iPhone or any Apple product, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Apple Warranty Check Website: Go to https://checkcoverage.apple.com/coverage.

  2. Enter Your Device's Serial Number: You can find the serial number by:

    • Tapping on Settings > General > About.
    • Alternatively, check the Apple Care and Warranty section under Settings > General.

What Does the Apple Warranty Cover in the UAE?

Apple's one-year limited warranty generally covers defects in materials and workmanship. This applies to the iPhone and all Apple-branded products that come in the original box.

However, this warranty doesn’t cover certain issues. Here’s what is not covered by Apple’s warranty:

  • Consumable parts, like batteries or protective coatings (unless the issue is a hardware defect).
  • Cosmetic damage, including scratches or dents (unless these occurred due to a defect).
  • Damage from third-party accessories that do not meet Apple's specifications.
  • Damage from accidents, misuse, or external causes such as fire or earthquakes.
  • Service by unauthorized individuals—only Apple or Apple-authorized providers can service the product.
  • Wear and tear, such as the natural aging of the device.

What to Do If Your iPhone Needs Repair Under Warranty

If your iPhone needs repair and is still under warranty, follow these steps:

  1. Visit an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider: Book an appointment at your nearest Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider. You can do this through the Apple Support website: https://support.apple.com/en-ae/iphone/repair.

  2. Contact Apple Support: You can also call Apple Support at 8000 444 0396 (Monday to Friday, 10 am to 7 pm).

  3. Important Note: If your iPhone was purchased outside the UAE, it can usually be repaired in the UAE unless it was made in China or Hong Kong. Apple specifies that warranty services may be restricted to the country where the device was originally sold.

What to Do If You Can't Use Warranty Service in the UAE

In some cases, warranty service for products purchased in other countries may not be available in the UAE. If this happens, it's best to contact Apple Support to clarify your options and determine if there are alternative solutions.

AppleCare+ Warranty for iPhone

Apple offers AppleCare+ for extended warranty coverage. This can be purchased separately and extends your warranty for two years, starting from the date of your AppleCare+ purchase.

Benefits of AppleCare+:

  • Battery Replacement: If your battery retains less than 80% of its original capacity.
  • Accidental Damage Protection: Unlimited incidents, but with a service fee of Dh99 for screen or back glass damage and Dh349 for other types of damage.
  • Priority Access to Apple experts via chat or phone.
  • Same-Day Service in many areas worldwide.
  • Replacement Devices: A replacement device may be provided while your device is being repaired.

Prices for AppleCare+ in the UAE:

  • Prices range from Dh329 to Dh799 depending on your iPhone model.

Can You Use an Apple Warranty from Another Country in the UAE?

Yes, AppleCare coverage purchased in other countries can be used in the UAE. This means that if you bought your iPhone in another country, your AppleCare+ plan will still be valid when you need warranty services in the UAE.

For further assistance or to check the warranty status of your device, visit the official Apple website or call Apple Support.
